Duration of MBBS in Nepal
#1. The course duration of MBBS in Nepal is five and a half years.
#2. In the initial years, there are theoretical classes, clinical study, and medical science.
#3. In the last year, an internship program is mandatory in the same hospital arranged by the college. This program also gives n opportunity to permanently practice medicine.
#4. Once you complete your10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology you will be eligible for MBBS in Nepal.

MBBS syllabus in Nepal
The MBBS syllabus in Nepal includes pre-clinical and clinical subjects. The academic course includes 9 semesters each of 6 months. Once the academic course is over, students have to complete a 1-year compulsory internship.
MBBS pre-clinical curriculum
This includes the 1st and 2nd year of the course which means semester1 to semester 4. Subjects included are Introduction to Clinical Medicine Community Medicine, Preclinical Sciences, and Medical Informatics. The subjects included in preclinical sciences are Biochemistry, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Physiology. During this semester the student gains clinical knowledge and also problem-solving skills. The student needs to pass in these pre-clinical subject before they are promoted to the next semester.
Clinical Science Curriculum
The clinical Science syllabus is included in semester 5 to semester 9. The subjects included during this semester are Community Medicine, ), Paediatrics, Ophthalmology (EYE), Forensic Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Surgery & Allied Subjects (Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, etc. ), Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medicine & Allied Subjects (Psychiatry, Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, etc.). To move to the 9th semester the student has to qualify in 4 subjects that include Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology, Community Medicine.
