NEXT MEDICAL PG EXAM
There is the latest update for MBBS pass-outs. Those who are pursuing MBBS can also relate to this. NEXT is likely to replace NEET PG from 2023. The exam will be a common eligibility and entrance test to provide MBBS passed students with a practitioner’s license. In addition, the exam will also serve as an entrance test for admission to PG Medical Degree Programs in India. It is also likely to replace the FMGE exam also.

NEXT (NATIONAL EXIT TEST) FROM 2023:
However, in an excerpt, NMC has declared that the NEXT exam for final year MBBS graduates in the country will be held from the year 2023 onwards. The National Exit Test proposed by the National Medical Commission is likely to replace FMGE and NEET PG exams. Though, NMC has not published any notification yet in this regard.
NEXT AND ITS PURPOSE:
This exam will have two purposes. Firstly, It will be an exam for providing the practitioners’ license. Again, MBBS graduates will have to complete their internship to earn the license to practice as a physician. The second purpose of this exam is to opt for the MBBS pass-outs to take admission in the post-graduate medical courses. So, you can understand that from 2023 onwards, there will be no need for NEET PG and FMGEexams.

SYLLABUS AND QUESTION PATTERN:
NEXT will be an online exam. The question paper should be based on the syllabus of undergraduate medical courses. The examinees have to answer MCQ-type questions.
