NEET UG 2026 Cancelled, Re-Exam to Be Conducted Soon
In a major announcement, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with approval from the Government of India, has cancelled the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on 3rd May 2026.
The decision was taken after inputs from central agencies and investigative findings related to the examination process. According to NTA, the re-examination will be conducted on fresh dates, which will be announced separately through official channels.
NTA has also confirmed that no fresh registration will be required for students. Existing application details and exam centre preferences will automatically be carried forward for the re-conducted examination. Additionally, no extra examination fee will be charged, and previously paid fees will be refunded.
The Government of India has further referred the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a detailed inquiry.
