West Bengal NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Registration Fee & Security Deposit

WBMCC released the information bulletin for West Bengal NEET MDS Counselling 2026, and the detailed schedule is going to be published soon. It is the right time to know about the security deposit and registration fees so that candidates can stay informed and apply according to the rules and regulations of the authority.

In this blog, we will discuss the security deposit, registration fees, when you need to pay those fees, refund policy for the security deposit. So, read the full blog before sitting for the registration process. This could save many little errors.

Registration Fee & Security Deposit:

During the process of registration, the candidate needs to pay registration fees as well as the security deposit. Failing to pay the prescribed security deposit, the candidate won't be able to choose their desired dental college. This one-time security deposit is kept in place to prevent wastage of a valuable dental seat. So, candidates are advised to pay the security deposit along with the registration fees.

Registration Fees: The amount of payment of fees for counseling is Rs. 3000/- (Three thousand only), which is one-time and non-refundable and to be paid online mode
Security Deposit:

Private College State Quota- Rs. 2 Lakhs
Private College Management Quota, with or without State Quota- Rs. 5 Lakhs

Payment Method:

Candidates need to pay the security deposit and registration fees through BillDesk via RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, or Credit Card. However, you may increase your card/banking transaction limit in case of payment failure.

When Will Your Security Deposit Be Refunded?

The security deposit is refundable in some cases only after the entire round of counselling is over. The refund amount will be reflected in the candidate’s bank account only after the counselling ends. However, there are such refund rules. Let us check the rules:

No seat is allotted to the candidate.
A seat is allotted in a Government Dental College as per the candidate's inter se merit.
The candidate surrenders the allotted seat in Round 1 or Round 2.
The candidate remains non-reported in Round 1, as free exit is allowed in Round 1, provided the candidate remains otherwise eligible.
The candidate requests the initialization of candidature and wants to register again for a subsequent round. In this case:
The previous round's security deposit will be refunded after the counselling process.
The candidate must pay the registration fee + security deposit afresh for the next round.
Security deposit: ₹2 Lakhs for Private State Quota / ₹5 Lakhs for Private Management Quota.
The previous registration fee will be forfeited.
The candidate does not appear for the pre-choice-fill-up phase of physical document verification for that round. If the candidate wants to participate in a subsequent round, a fresh registration fee and security deposit must be paid, while the previous security deposit will be refunded after the counselling process. The previous registration fee will be forfeited.
Also, candidates must keep in mind that the registration fees are non-refundable.

When Can the Security Deposit Be Forfeited?

Before applying for West Bengal NEET MDS counselling 2026, a candidate must be aware of the situation in which his security deposit can be forfeited. Knowing the rules regarding this can save forfeiture of the money.

Your security deposit may be forfeited in the following situations:

Non-reporting from Round 2 onwards:

If the candidate remains non-reported after being allotted a seat, the security deposit will be forfeited.

Fake or forged documents: If any document/certificate is found to be fake or forged during the pre-choice fill-up or admission phase of physical document verification:

The candidate's candidature will be rejected.
The candidate will be out of the counselling process.
The security deposit will be forfeited.
A police FIR will also be lodged, along with appropriate punitive action as applicable.

Resigning after the entire counselling process:

The security deposit will be forfeited if a candidate wants to resign from an admitted seat after completion of the whole counselling process.

Registration Fee:

Once paid, the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
