Cracking the most prestigious medical entrance exam is a dream for lakhs of medical aspirants. Students have spent months grasping complex formulas of physics, solving chemical equations, and memorizing extensive biology chapters. However, the final day requires a completely different kind of preparation: a fully focused, calm, and composed mind. Along with that, you need to be extra cautious about a few things, like wearing the right shoes or carrying the right documents. If you do not have the NEET 2026 exam day checklist ready beforehand, you may feel haphazard on your big day.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to ensure way more strict environment for the NEET re-exam 2026 day so that this time they can conduct a fair and transparent exam.

Dress Code Guidelines

For Male Candidates:

  • Light and comfortable clothes.
  • Half-sleeve shirts/T-shirts are preferable.
  • Simple trousers or pants.
  • Slippers or sandals with low heels are recommended.

 Avoid:

  • Heavy clothes.
  • Full-sleeve shirts/T-shirts.
  • Shoes (prefer slippers/sandals).
  • Any accessories that may create issues during frisking.

For Female Candidates: 

  • Light and comfortable clothes.
  • Simple salwar suit, kurti, or other regular attire.
  • Slippers or sandals with low heels are preferable.

 Avoid:

  • Heavy clothing.
  • Long sleeves.
  • Complicated outfits that may take extra time during checking.
  • High heels, boots, or footwear that may create difficulty during frisking.

Important Instructions for All Candidates:

  •  Candidates wearing cultural/customary dress must reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before the last reporting time (by 12:30 PM) for proper frisking.
  •  Compulsory frisking will be conducted before entry using metal detectors. Other verification methods like biometric verification, face authentication, and videography may also be used.
  •  Female candidates will be frisked only by female staff inside a private enclosure.
  •  Follow NTA guidelines strictly to avoid any inconvenience on exam day.

  • Passport-size photograph (if required as per instructions)
  • Transparent water bottle (only if permitted as per the latest NTA guidelines)

Important Instructions:

  • No storage facility will be available at the examination centre for keeping personal belongings. Carry only essential items.
  • Candidates wearing religious/customary articles should report at least 2 hours before the last reporting time for proper verification and frisking.
  • If any prohibited device is found hidden inside a religious/customary article during screening, the candidate may not be allowed to carry it inside the exam hall.
